My work is an exploration of the sacred. I work in a variety of media, often utilizing subject matter that embodies the transitory complexity of nature, the duality of growth and decay, and the connection between women and the natural world. The symbolism and content in my work are heavily informed by motherhood, my religious upbringing, and immersive spiritual experiences. Through my art practice, I seek to manifest an alternative way of thinking about the power structures within which we live. I hope to contribute to the shifting of common social paradigms by challenging institutions and ideas that provide the script for our widely embraced, unexamined, and often destructive belief systems.
